The app once named Payconiq by Bancontact has carried the name Bancontact Pay since March 2026. Bancontact coverage in Belgium is close to complete, and the minimum is as a rule €5.
The Bancontact Pay ceilings are €1500 per transaction and €2500 per day. The money is available at once; between request and account sit usually one to three banking days, with the site's internal handling added to that.

What is asked at registration
The start is recognisable at every operator: name, date of birth and documents, before anything is paid out. Keep an identity card and proof of residence ready. Paying from someone else's account always creates problems.

The rules on player protection here run more tightly than the Netherlands or France and you feel it on the first deposit. Every licensed site applies a default deposit limit of €200 per week.

21 — that has been the rule since the 2024 reform, National Lottery aside. This is not a guideline but a statutory limit. The check is automatic at licensed sites.
- Can I change my limit?
The statutory standard is €200 per week. Going down is always allowed, going up is not. A lower limit is active immediately. Raising it always takes time, even when the request goes through.
- How do I self-exclude?
EPIS is the central register — registering is enough to stay out everywhere at once. Unlicensed sites are not connected to it. Physical venues will refuse you afterwards too.
- Is Golden Panda legal in Belgium?
Not legal in the Belgian sense: Golden Panda operates without a Gaming Commission licence. Status can change; re-check the list if in doubt. You can check this yourself in the regulator's register.
- Is there tax on winnings?
Not for the player. Belgium taxes the operator, not the winner. No declaration is therefore needed. Nothing about that rule changes in 2026.
- Does Bancontact work here?
Bancontact is accepted almost everywhere for deposits, not for withdrawals. Turnaround depends mostly on the operator, not on Bancontact. Always pay from an account in your own name.
